ECVP 2012 will host participant-initiated talk sessions. These sessions will consist of 5-6 speakers who will present work on a common topic and will be organized by one of the speakers.
Participant-initiated talk sessions should start with a brief (5 min) overview that introduces the basic definitions, paradigms, and/or questions of the field. Session speakers should present the current state of the art of their research in 15-20 min talks. Broad overviews are discouraged. Speakers should highlight links between their work and that of the other speakers.
Proposals for Symposia
We are interested in receiving proposals for symposium topics. Proposals should be sent to email@example.com by 15 April, 2012. If you are interested in suggesting a symposium, please send the organizers a short description of the topic (max. 1 page), the list of the potential speakers, plus a short motivation for choosing them. In the case that the symposium is not accepted, speakers will be given a place in the conference program according to the normal ECVP procedures.
ECVP 2012 offers no financial support for speakers.
Speakers have to register as any other ECVP participant, and submit their abstract via the website.
